A Brief History of Humanscale Monitor Arms

Previous M7 monitor arm model

M7

The M7 marked a major step forward in Humanscale's approach to monitor arms, introducing a clean, intuitive design paired with effortless adjustability. It set the foundation for tool free movement and long term durability, establishing many of the principles that still guide the lineup today.

Previous M2 and M8 model

M2 /M8

Building on the success of the M7, the M2 refined the form with improved engineering and a more compact profile. It delivered smoother motion, greater stability, and broader application flexibility, making it a dependable solution across a wide range of work environments.

Previous M2.1 and M8.1 model

M2.1 / M8.1

The M2.1 and M8.1 lineup further enhanced performance with increased weight capacity and fine tuned counterbalance technology. This generation introduced patented features such as the tamper proof Smart Stop, quick connect monitor interface, and counterbalance indicator. It became one of Humanscale's most widely specified monitor arm platforms, trusted for its reliability, ease of use, and consistent long term performance.
